Lovely local town with independent shops, panier market, cafes and regular local markets. Location of RHS Rosemoor.

Instow (25 mins by car)

Small seaside town with lovely beach. Visit John's of Instow for tea & cake and lovely fresh food to eat in or takeaway.

Appledore (25 mins by car)

Historic fishing village with winding narrow streets & colourful houses. Great pubs too! Try The Royal George & The Seagate.

The Tarka Trail

A fabulous 180 mile traffic free cycle/running trail. Accessible from Weare Giffard. Many bike hire and cafe/restaurant options.

Surfing North Devon

The North Devon coast is great for surfing and there are numerous surf schools in the area: Westward Ho!; Croyde Bay; Woolacombe.
